We've teamed up with Bend, Oregon based company, The Gear Fix, to make it easy for the Outside community (or anyone with gear to spare) to donate their retired outdoor gear to support the planet, inclusion, and adventure through The Outdoorist Oath.
Like you, we get a thrill from discovering innovative new gear, which means we end up retiring some of our equipment simply because we've moved on to something that works better for us. This program will extend the lifecycle of existing products, make gear more accessible to more people and raise funds for a cause we believe in.
We know our community is passionate about the outdoors and supporting others getting out there. Let's build a more sustainable and inclusive future together!
The Outdoorist Oath is an action-based commitment to planet, inclusion, and adventure. We believe that individual outdoorists (you!) hold the power, privilege and opportunity to collectively shape the future of the outdoors.
The Outdoorist Oath offers free, open-to-the-public workshops that provide individuals with an educational framework to investigate questions like; how can I be a better steward of the landscapes I recreate in? How can I play a part in making the outdoors feel more inclusive to all individuals? In what ways does my everyday life support the protection of wild places for years to come? And importantly, How can I take action?
The Outdoorist Oath is also a community of like-minded individuals that care about building a better future. Explore their website at www.outdooristoath.org & sign up for their newsletter to receive registration information for their next free workshop! You can also follow them at @outdooristoath.
